As if the week wasn't rough enough...

This week has been a rough one for Jackson. We started out last Sunday...I don't know what I was thinking, but obviously wasn't when I fed Jackson a meatball at a restaraunt. (They have breadcrumbs which have milk!) So he started acting a little wierd and I freaked out and gave him Claritin to stop the allergy. It worked fine...he had a great rest of the day. The next day was a training for me, so I dropped him off at daycare and about an hour later got the call to come get him. He had tons of diarrhea...too much to be at daycare. I picked him up and we went home to continue pooping. He continues to have diarrhea a week later now for many reasons. One reason is his shots from Wednesday that gave him a fever for 3 days!! He got 4 shots that day and he was miserable Thursday. He is also cutting 4 molars and the same time and the eye teeth are not far behind that...so about 8 teeth in all trying to come in. Just when I think things are going to get better we wake up on Saturday to the WORST excema outbreak yet. The only thing I can come up with is new teething tabs we haven't used before mixed with his saliva and he drooled while he slept. Needless to say, he has had a rough week. My poor little man. He's such a trooper though. You would never know that anything was wrong with him at all! The fever is gone now and he only pooped twice yesterday. His 4 molars have all broken through completely now as well. Here's to hoping that next week is better...if not for him, for his amazing daycare that has dealt with this madness all week and been so wonderful!!!

Tristan and Avery's Birthday Party!

Jackson's buddies, Tristan and Avery, had their first birthday party the weekend after Jackson's so it was a birthday kind of month! Jackson had so much fun on his train ride around the neighborhood. I think his favorite thing was playing with the boys' new radio flyer cars though. He got to eat hot dogs and hamburgers too! We always have a good time with them!

My Homeboy Barack...

Those of you that know me are aware of how politically retarded I really am...so you will know right off the bat that I have no allegiance to either party or candidate. The title of this post is what I saw on the front of a shirt that one of our middle school kids was wearing. I was actually kind of annoyed by it...mostly because I can tell you that this student had no idea what she was wearing, it was simply a racial connection. I have my issues with kids (and parents) these days. This year has gotten off to a rough start. No raises to begin with, then our schedules were all screwed up when school started, then we had to deal with massive schedule changes throughout this first six weeks, and most of all...the kids this year just don't care. It's not that they are "dumb" or incapable of the work, they just have no accountability for their actions and no one at home sees to it either. Accountability for their actions is just gone...all the accountability for their lack of work is put back on the teachers...what could I (the teacher) have done differently. The only thing left for me to do is write the answers down for them. Then comes this whole economical crash ordeal...all of these billion dollar companies screwed up royally and in turn screws all of us! Instead of being accountable for their actions, they are going to get billions of our tax dollars pumped back in to save them, but where is our releif...the relief for the people staying accountable to their financial mishaps or lack there of. I suppose my point is that I worry for the future. Until people start holding their kids (our future) accountable for their actions, we are in a world of trouble. Okay...I'm done...just thought I'd share! :)

Jackson's First Birthday!!

What a great day!!! Jackson had so much fun at his first birthday party! Thank you to all of our amazing friends and family for spending that special day with us! We got Jackson a moonwalk for him and his friends to play in. They LOVED it!! (The big kids did too!) Nana and I made bandanas for the kids to wear. We got them on the little ones for a few pictures before they ripped them off! Jackson's said, "Captain Jack!" He actually liked it...he didn't take his off at all! Jackson has spent every second since his birthday party exploring all the new things around the house. He slept in until 9:30 this morning!! YAY FOR MOMMY!!! :) He had an absolute blast and we loved all the great new toys and adorable outfits. Now on to the good stuff...pictures!!!!
